FAQ
Common questions about breathwork sessions and events.
What is conscious connected breathwork?
A guided breathing practice designed to support awareness, emotional processing, and reconnection with the body.
What happens during a session?
Sessions typically include grounding, an introduction, the guided breathwork practice, and time for rest or reflection afterwards.
Is breathwork safe?
Breathwork is not suitable for everyone. Relevant contraindications and guidance should always be reviewed before participation.
Do I need prior experience?
No. Sessions can be tailored to your experience level and are suitable for beginners through to advanced practitioners.
What do I need for an online session?
Essentials are a device with a camera and microphone, and a stable internet connection. Good to have are a comfortable place to lie down, a blanket, an eye mask, a water bottle, headphones, and no disturbances.
What do I need for an in-person session?
Yourself, comfortable clothes that you can lie down in similar to what you’d wear for yoga, and a willingness to explore. I’ll provide everything else you need.
What's the difference between an online and in-person session?
By and large, they are the same experience. Being together in person allows for a closer connection and enables things that are not possible remotely for example physical support and adjustments.
I've done some Wim Hof breathing before, is this the same?
Amazing! The Wim Hof method is a great introduction to breathwork. However, it is a different practice. The Wim Hof method is a specific breathing technique that is used to improve physical and mental health. Conscious connected breathwork is a more general term for a variety of breathing techniques that are used to improve physical and mental health.
How often should I do breathwork?
There’s no single answer. How often should you meditate? How often should you exercise? How often should you eat well? The answer is, as often as you can! I practice daily, but with our busy lives that’s not always possible. Even just once a month can make a difference.
